IMPORTANT SIZE INSTRUCTIONS
Please measure your pet’s neckline accurately. You should allow a finger or two between the collar and the neck for a snuggly fit. The Amber collar should fit comfortably around your pet’s neck and not interfere with breathing. Do not use the Amber collar as a restraining tool. Please choose the next size up if your pet’s neck size is on the length interval limit point of the collar.
How Does Amber Collar Work
Since classical physics, it’s been no secret that natural organic materials such as amber attract lightweight particles after rubbing. The Greek word for the Amber ( ήλεκτρον ) electron was the source of the word ‘electricity’. It was known that when Amber was rubbed, it produced static electricity. Baltic Amber is a natural tree resin, fossilized over millions of years.
It Works in Two Ways
Firstly, when worn by your pet, the friction and warmth release aromatic terpenes (piney scent). This works to keep pesky ticks and fleas at bay naturally. By the way, ticks can smell! They do not have a nose like ours, but they have a so-called Haller’ s-organ located on their front legs. This organ helps the tick to perceive the smell of a potential victim. Haller’s organ is a complex sensory organ possessed by ticks. The organ detects hosts – which the tick, being an obligate parasite, must find to survive – via olfaction and the sensing of humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide. Haller’s organ is a minute cavity at the terminal segment of the first pair of a tick’s legs. Each one is composed of a pit and a capsule, which contain sensory setae.
Secondly, the static electricity generation from Amber rubbing against the pet’s fur makes parasites feel far from home, making them unable to cling to hairs. Only unpolished, raw Baltic Amber possesses these incredible electrostatic and aromatic properties. Each of our collars is made from such Baltic Amber, obtained from the most reputable amber miners on the Baltic Sea shores. IAA Laboratory tested under a microscope, UV light, and other methods guaranteeing its uncompromised authenticity. We expect the best, and we know our customers do too!
Amber collars for dogs and cats by Precious Amber Pets are the natural protection from ticks and fleas. Suitable for allergic, pregnant or even nursing pets. 100% organic and chemical-free! Safe for humans and animals, with no secondary effects on your pet or a family member.
Allow 2 to 3 weeks for the amber collar to take its full effect as it takes time for the pet’s fur to absorb the resinous smell from Amber.
Safety is our top priority, so we’ve thoroughly tested the Amber collar to perfection for your peace of mind. All necessary safety precautions have been taken during the manufacturing and assembly process. A flexible cord has been incorporated on each side of the collar (attached to the leather with unique knots and clutches ). When reasonable force is applied (70N) – 7.1Kg, the collar will detach from the pet, keeping them out of harm’s way 24/7
Other Recommendations: exterminate fleas or ticks with other remedies before using the Amber collar. Amber prevents but will not treat an existing heavy infestation. Change the amber collar yearly or, even better, twice for better parasite prevention. Replace the Amber collar when beads get polished to maintain the best repelling effect.
